Mod.6 Add Photos

To add photos to be displayed during a movie tap photos at the bottom of the record story user interface.

You may either pick photos up from the camera roll or even capture them in the moment, right inside the app.

Tap camera roll on the left to navigate your iPhone's camera roll. Tap on photos to be added to the story. You can do one at a time or import multiple images at once. The number of photos you can add is based on the length of your video. Once the images are imported, small thumbnails are displayed. From here, you can rearrange images by doing a “tap and hold,” and then dragging the image to where you want it.

You can delete an image by giving it a quick tap and then hit the circled x in its upper right corner.

If you try to add more photos than your video story can accommodate, StoryCatcher® lets you know.

Once satisfied, to exit out of the add photos screen, either swipe right or tap the back arrow in the upper right corner of the screen.

If you have several captions, you can scroll up and down by tapping and dragging the bar on the right side of the screen.

To rearrange your captions, tap and hold and then drag it up or down in the list.

If you decide to delete a caption, simply quick tap that text and a circled x appears to its right. Tap the x to delete the caption.

Same goes for adjusting the trim on the front and back ends of your video clips. Simply tap the record intro or record story icon and the options will appear.

Tap the icon above or tap Mod.10 Preview Story to view this module's video.

Mod.11 Share Story

We made sure to give you options to suit your privacy concerns. These are your stories, you choose who sees them and where.

For best results, be sure you’re connected to the Internet via Wi-Fi before uploading a single story or a collection of stories.

When you're satisfied with the build of your story, tap share from inside the record story interface. A new screen appears with the sharing options. Choose one.

No matter which share option you select, the video needs to be “rendered” in order to play outside of the app; in essence the photos, captions, title card art, and video clips will be stitched together into a single video file. Be patient—this might take some time, depending on how long your story is.

Every video will be rendered at the devices highest quality setting, unless you choose otherwise. I always use the high quality option as it produces a full HD movie. The medium quality option will create a smaller file and will view ok on most phones, but not so great on screens much larger.

Tap the icon above or tap Mod.11 Share Story to view this module's video.

Mod.12 Delete Story

A story can be deleted by tapping a story icon from the home screen. Once inside the Collections Container, select delete all in the upper right of the screen. StoryCatcher® will ask you if you’re sure you want to do this. Select yes or no.

To delete a single story in a Collection, tap the story icon you wish to delete and then select delete from the pop up menu.

To delete all the stories in a Collection, tap delete all in the upper right of the screen. StoryCatcher® will ask if you’re sure you want to do this. Choose carefully! All the Collection data will be erased once you confirm this action.

for documentarians

Create Collections!

Stories can be captured individually or shared in a group as a Collection.

You might capture a series of recordings with someone speaking to various prompts from the Interview Tips. Or, let’s say you’re at an event and want to collect short stories and memories from the guests who are there.

Keepsake Videos

You might want to stitch together some “shout out” videos at a wedding or for a loved ones' birthday.

Documentaries

With some planning, you could even create an hour long documentary using this feature and export in full 1920x1080 HD!
